Experience the magic of Christmas in Millstatt from 26 November 2009 and every weekend in December (as well as from 17 December 2009 to 06 January 2010 daily), Delicacies and local specialities such as mulled wine, boiled sausages and fresh farmhouse bread, hot sweet chestnuts and other delights straight from the farms await you.
Christmas Market - Spittal/Drau
The park of castle Schloß Porcia, which is located in the centre of the small historical town Spittal/Drau, is the perfect setting for a Christmas Market (daily from 20 November to 24 December 2009). In magnificent surroundings, the Christmas market offers a choice of enticing stands selling handicraft, toys and Christmas decorations. Punch, mulled wine and delicious food are served to the accompaniment of choirs and bands.
Advent in Radenthein - Nock mountains
Carinthia's only life-size nativity scene, with around 50 figures, is in Radenthein town centre. Besides the traditional figures of the nativity scene, there are unmistakable regional influences in the shape of a singer's quartet, choir and national costumes. To complete the magical programme, there are musical events and tours of the town.
