From the school to the ski runs
... around Lake Millstätter See
Skiing and snowboarding at the Goldeck
The small but fine ski area Goldeck is situated near the small historical town Spittal/Drau. The skiing area is a real insider's tip.
The Goldeck offers about 30 prepared ski run kilometers for skiers as well as snowboarders. Moreover, at the Goldeck the longest black downhill run in the Alps can be found: 8.6 kilometeres and 1.600 altitude meters.
A 50 ha freeride area can be used by free-skiers and snowboarders. Enjoy a skiing day on Carinthia's sunniest sport mountain.
Cable cars will bring you up to the skiing area, over 2,000 m. From the Goldeck you have an impressive view of Spittal, the national parc Nockberge and Lake Millstätter See.
Lake Millstätter See offers activities away from the hustle and bustle of the ski runs, such as horse sleigh-rides, escursions with the old snow shoes, sledging, cross-country skiing etc. Moreover, there are a wide range of indoor and outdoor ice-skating rings, two indoor swimming pools (Spittal and Millstatt), and a lot of events throughout the year.
